FT.com Engages with India - at last..
It is good to see the FT waking up to the emergence of India in the world economy - and the FT recently beefed up its coverage of Corporate India.
Among the initiatives that are worth mentioning:
- Engaging India - a weekly online column analysing the issues, trends and forces behind the business and politics shaping India and its impact on the world. Uploaded every Thursday morning exclusively on the FT's website, it is written by Jo Johnson, the Financial Times South Asia bureau chief; Amy Yee, New Delhi correspondent; and Joe Leahy, Mumbai correspondent.
- The FT's India portal - a one-stop shop for all recently published FT articles - some require a ft.com subscription though
- A special section on "India & Globalisation 2006" - country facts, and a number of articles ranging from trade and FDI issues to industry short case studies
- Investing in India 2006 - a range of articles on the topic
- The outcome of the FT's partnership with India's Business Standard: a weekly column by T N Ninan, its editor - An award-winning journalist and a member of various boards and professional bodies, he is a familiar figure on Indian national television as a commentator on economic issues. His weekly column, devoted to analysis of the Indian economy and business environment, now appears on FT.com every Tuesday
